AIS Connect gears up to deliver more apprenticeships following Government approval

06 June 2017

Training and skills specialist, AIS Connect has been approved to offer apprenticeship training by the Government’s Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) - opening the doors to more employer-led apprenticeships for the North-East region.
The ESFA accreditation means AIS Connect can now deliver apprenticeships directly to any levy paying employers. This freedom allows Connect to work directly with North East bosses to tailor skills programmes around their needs delivering exactly what they require, when they require it.
Apprenticeships through Connect are delivered within AIS Training’s 20-acre industrial training village, which has state-of-the-art facilities and skilled instructors with real industry experience  to ensure a world-class training experience.
Head of Partnerships & Strategic Development at AIS Connect, Kate Lovelock said: “Becoming an official ESFA provider is a fantastic achievement for AIS Connect and is testament to the quality of our training for young people.
“Every year our sister organisation, AIS Training commercially trains up to 75,000 people in the highest global industry standards so we understand exactly what skills and competencies employers are looking for. With this ESFA accreditation we can now apply this extensive expertise to work more closely with individual companies to develop bespoke apprenticeship programmes combining an educational apprenticeship with industry certificates that will be hard to rival.
“We also recruit and train motivated, proactive, enthusiastic young workers with the right competencies they need to become valued and productive members of any employers’ workforce.”
