Fabrication and Welding - Advanced

INC. TRAINING & JOB WITH SALARY / 12-24 MONTHS

WHAT MAKES THE ADVANCED PROGRAMME DIFFERENT?

The Welding and Fabrication Advanced Apprenticeship course is designed to give you the relevant training and education required to become a successful crafts person in the welding and fabrication, Welding Pipework or Welding Plate specialisms.

 

Learning through practical and theory sessions at AIS is teamed with work- based experience and training in order to achieve a level 3 certificate/diploma in Welding and Fabrication, Welding Pipework or Welding Plate.

 

Performing Engineering Operations training gained during the level 2 Apprenticeship will provide a foundation to your Advanced Apprenticeship.

 

YOU HAVE THE CHOICE OF PATHWAYS - Welding & Fabrication, Welding Pipework or Welding Plate

The NVQ Level 3 will relate to your specific trade. As part of the Apprenticeship framework you will also study Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Functional Skills/ GCSEs in English and maths, plus ICT.

 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL GET

This Apprenticeship framework covers welding and fabrication and comprises the following qualifications:

 

EAL level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma

This qualification is a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ). It involves the skills and knowledge needed for occupations in fabrication and welding, the ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems. NVQ’s are based on national occupational standards, which the learner must meet to be competent in a particular task. The achievement of NVQ’s will encourage an employee to value their contribution to the workplace, and it will develop their skills and potential within the fabrication and welding field. This qualification is done in the work place and a portfolio of evidence is to be created.

 

EAL Level 3 certificate in engineering technologies

  • OR

  • EAL Level 3 diploma in Engineering Technologies

 

AIS have on site Zurich surveyors.

Welding coding’s could be added to the Apprenticeship at the employers requests.
